For our Switzerland / Austria Cluster cluster (CHAT), we are recruiting for a
**Contract Operations Manager (f/m/d)**
to be based either in Baar, Switzerland or Vienna, Austria.
**About This Role:**
The Contract Operations Manager (f/m/d) is responsible for optimizing Biogen´s contract management within the CHAT cluster (Switzerland / Austria), ensuring compliance with internal SOPs, external procedures, and local legislation. This role supports the affiliate's ongoing efforts to contract excellence with external stakeholders and provides guidance on contract-related matters under the supervision of the legal corporate function.
**What You-ll Do:**
* Contract Management:
* Draft, review, and manage various types of contracts, including those with external stakeholders and procurement contracts in the ordinary course of Biogen-s business context in relation to Biogen-s portfolio of products using the Contract Life Cycle Management system.
* Negotiate contract terms with internal and external partners and maintain and update contract templates to ensure they meet current legal requirements.
* Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from creation to negotiation, signing, and monitoring contract performance
* Liaison with Legal Corporate function for the contract local needs analysis, contract template creation, modification and approval, master agreements included
* Provide guidance and support to various functions on contract-related matters
* Ensure proper documentation and filing of all contract-related documents
* Legal Support:
* Support the affiliate with day-to-day legal business under close collaboration with Corporate Counsel
* Corporate Administration:
* Support corporate administration activities, including Board of Directors and shareholders meetings, powers of attorney, and other corporate governance matters
* Training and Development:
* Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees on contract-related topics and best practices
**Who You Are:**
The ideal candidate for this role is a contract and legal professional with strong experience in contract lifecycle management (CLM) and a solid understanding of healthcare, procurement and corporate governance. With high attention to detail, the incumbent will take care of day to day operational activities as well as in liaison with legal colleagues, will guide and support internal stakeholders on complex legal and contract-related matters.
**Required Skills:**
* Completed university studies with a degree in business law or comparable studies with a strong legal focus, ideally specializing in life sciences or commercial/contract law.
* 5+ years of relevant experience in contract management or a similar role, preferably in a pharmaceutical/life sciences company
* Experience in contract negotiation, contract creation and contract life cycle management
* Deep knowledge of contract law and relevant local pharmaceutical regulation in Switzerland and/or Austria
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Fluent in local language and fluent command of the English language
