## Job Description ##
EMEA Recruitment is working with a well-established chemicals and life sciences company. We are searching for a Payroll Manager to join the Basel office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete Payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy in salary processing, managing compliance with social security and tax regulations, and acting as the main point of contact for Payroll-related queries across the business.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and international environment, contributing to continuous process improvements and supporting both employees and management with Payroll expertise.
**Key responsibilities of the Payroll Manager include:**
* Managing monthly Payroll processes for local employees, ensuring compliance and accuracy in collaboration with HR and Finance teams
* Acting as the first point of contact for external authorities, such as social insurance, pension funds, and tax offices
* Ensuring the smooth functioning of interfaces between Payroll, Time Management, and Accounting systems
* Supporting HR projects, year-end activities, and system updates in collaboration with external providers
**Your profile:**
* Completed commercial training with additional qualifications in Payroll or HR Administration
* Solid experience in Payroll operations with strong knowledge of SAP HCM and MS Office, especially Excel
* 3-5 years of relevant HR/Payroll experience, ideally within a comparable environment
* Strong interpersonal skills with a structured, proactive, and service-oriented approach - fluent in German with good English skills
