## About Our Client ##
Our client is a well-established international manufacturing company with multiple sites across Europe, recognized for operational excellence and high-quality standards in a safety-critical environment.
To strengthen their supply chain quality management, they are seeking an experienced **Supplier Quality Manager** to lead supplier quality assurance activities across the European supply chain. Based in Basel, you will ensure materials, components, and services from external suppliers meet stringent safety, compliance, and performance standards, supporting key operational programs.
## Job Description ##
* Lead supplier quality management by developing and implementing policies and standards aligned with regulatory and internal requirements
* Conduct supplier audits and qualification processes to ensure compliance and capability
* Monitor key quality KPIs such as defect rates, on-time delivery, and CAPA effectiveness
* Manage supplier non-conformities through structured investigations and root cause analysis
* Drive supplier development initiatives, collaborating with vendors to improve quality systems and performance, particularly for strategic or high-risk suppliers
* Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to harmonize quality standards and reduce risks
* Ensure thorough documentation, approvals, and traceability to meet regulatory and internal standards; support audits and inspections
## The Successful Applicant ##
* Degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field
* Minimum 7 years' experience in supplier quality or quality assurance, ideally in manufacturing or aerospace/aviation industries
* Proven expertise in supplier audits, root cause analysis, and supplier quality improvement
* Solid understanding of supply chain traceability, documentation standards, and quality management systems
* Knowledge of relevant aviation/aerospace regulations (e.g., EASA Part 145/21, FAA, AS/EN standards) is an advantage
* Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, AS9100, EN9120) is a plus
* Fluent in English; additional European languages are beneficial
* Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems and quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC is advantageous
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external suppliers
* Willingness to travel internationally
