You'll lead initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce risk, and leverage automation and best practices to streamline operations. If you're passionate about optimizing processes with the help of AI and technology and have a solid understanding of legal and compliance environments in a corporate setting, we want to hear from you!Reporting to the Legal & Compliance (L&C) Chief of Staff and Head of Legal Operations, you support and contribute to the L&C Strategy with your focus on Operational Excellence. Your initial focus will be on the spend management process in Legal & Compliance. You will collaborate with our internal SME-s, and other functions, including finance, procurement and Roche Digital Technology to drive continuous improvement and adoption of newly defined processes and ways of working. You are empowered to make decisions for the area of your expertise and in line with the guardrails set by the respective Business Process Owners. You act as a resource to our colleagues in L&C for driving standardisation.Your opportunities:Process Improvement Leadership: Lead & implement end-to-end process improvement initiatives within Legal & Compliance. Improve efficiency, reduce control gaps and risks, and provide actionable data insights; Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement, recommending and implementing solutions that leverage automation and best practices; Develop and maintain process documentation, playbooks, and policies to ensure clarity and consistency across the L&C function.Outside Counsel Spend management: In collaboration with partnering organizations (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Roche Digital Technology), oversee and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of outside counsel spend. Analyze spend data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and performance metrics for our key law firm partners; Enhance transparency for leadership; Act as the end-to-end project lead and primary liaison for the implementation of a new global e-billing (and matter management) solution;Change Management & Training:Develop and execute a comprehensive change management strategy to support the roll-out of new processes, with an initial focus on Outside Counsel Spend Management and the global billing solution.Create and deliver targeted communications, training materials, and support resources for in-house legal professionals and our partner law firms. Act as a "change champion" to drive adoption, address questions and proactively support stakeholders' needs.Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders:Partner with Global Procurement, In-house counsel and Legal Operations to manage the billing guidelines, the company's relationships with law firms and legal service providers.Risk & Compliance Integration: Ensure all process improvements are aligned with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.Who you are:You bring a strong background in Finance and proven experience in Business Process Management or similar roles, ideally within a Legal or Compliance department. On top of that you bring the following qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence and build relationshipsVery good understanding of legal operations and legal technology (e.g., e-billing, contract management systems).Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a complex global environment.Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing inefficiencies.Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or related methodologies are a plus.Fluent English skills Who we areA healthier future drives us to innovate.
