ASCOR International AG - international commodity trading company active in European and Mediterranean markets – is looking for an experienced Corporate Accountant to join its Finance team in Baar.
Main responsibilities:
- Full accounting of the Swiss entity (GL, postings, reconciliations);
- Trade accounting: allocation of revenues, COGS, inventory and collateral control;
- Payroll accounting and social contributions (AHV/IV/ALV, BVG, Quellensteuer, etc.);
- VAT accounting and preparation of returns;
- Corporate cards and travel expense management;
- Payment processing and daily bank communication;
- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements;
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure the integrity and compliance of financial reporting;
- Maintenance of accounting systems (Abacus, Bexio);
- Administrative support for the General Manager (travel documents, filings).
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification; Swiss certification (Fachausweis / CPA) is a plus;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in trading or international companies;
- Practical experience in payroll processing and social contributions;
- Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and VAT;
- Experience in multi-currency and consolidation environments;
- Good knowledge of Excel; experience with Abacus, SAGE or SAP; experience with system setup is a plus;
- Experience in preparing or leading external audits is an advantage;
- Fluent English and German (spoken and written);
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently and accurately.
