The stroke Unit of Inselspital, University Hospital Bern treats \>1000 stroke patients per year possessing long-standing expertise in care of stroke patients. Our interdisciplinary stroke team conducts dozens of national and international research studies resulting in \> 300 publications in international journals per year.
**What you can expect**
Thecurrent project is funded by the SNF. The project aims to improve the care ofpatients after stroke and reduce the impact of post-stroke dementia bydeveloping a mechanistic understanding of post-stroke cognitive trajectories.The candidate will analyse individual pre- and post-stroke predictors ofpost-stroke dementia and perform lesion-based analyses including spatial lesioncharacteristics, (dys)connectome, and other lesion-network and imaging-derivedparameters.
**Your Profile**
* PhD degree or equivalent
* Basic knowledge of neuropsychological studies
* Basic knowledge of (bio)statistics
* Programming skills in MATLAB, R or Python
* Experience in neuroimaging and/or network-based analysis
* Excellent written English skills
* Publication track record
* Advanced programming skills in Python would be advantageous
