Role Overview
The Medical Information Lead, EMEA will contribute to the adaptation and execution of medical information strategies within the GMI EMEA Team, focusing on Rare Metabolic Diseases/Rare Immunology assets. In this role, the candidate will collaborate closely with the global and local medical teams to ensure high-quality and compliant medical information solutions. As part of a team of three, reporting to the Medical Information Group Lead - Rare Immunology/Rare Genetics, we are looking for a strong team player who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Role Scope & Challenges
- Managing medical information inquiries for the EMEA region, ensuring quality and timely responses.
- Overseeing dynamic regulatory changes and supporting multiple products within the therapeutic areas of Rare Metabolic Diseases/Rare Immunology
- Contribute innovative ideas and approaches and embrace out-of-the-box thinking while navigating strict regulatory and legal requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop, adapt, and implement medical information content, including Standard Response Letters, FAQs, and custom tailored responses.
- Collaborate with local and global medical teams to align materials with regional needs.
- Ensure adherence to KPIs and timely reporting for medical information services.
- Manage external vendors and call centers, ensuring compliance and efficient operations.
- Explore and support the implementation of novel digital medical communication strategies.
- Develop and deliver training on best practices for internal stakeholders and vendor groups.
Competencies/Skills
Required:
- Strong scientific acumen with a medical or scientific degree (minimum 3+ years of industry experience).
- Proven expertise in medical affairs (including medical information and /or communications).
- Proficiency in medical information best practices, regulatory and compliance standards.
- Digital fluency and experience implementing innovative digital tools for medical services / Openness, curiosity, and a willingness to engage with innovative digital tools and technologies, such as AI, along with a foundational understanding or initial experience in digital solutions.
- Strong interpersonal communication and project management skills.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with handling matrixed organizational structures or complex global projects.
- Knowledge of therapeutic areas managed within Takeda
- Field experience as an MSL or Sales Representative, with additional exposure to commercial or marketing roles.
